Evening.
I spent yesterday finally getting to grips with the pulse and double pulse settings on my tecarc optearc 300.
I think I've got the pulse settings alright on mild steel fillets now, mainly on 6-10mm thick, but stepping down to 3mm I decided to use double pulse to reduce distortion.
The problem is I'm getting really bad arc wander up to the vertical face of the T-joint during the low frequency amperage trough. As the wire burns back during the amperage trough, the arc flicks over to just above the top toe of the fillet, close to the shroud.
I've checked earth and moved it several times, cleaned feed rolls and there's no draughts in the at all.
Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated!
