Anyone had this problem before?

    Ordered some crimps online as I had run out, They turned up today, But they seem to be a difference wire guage compared to what I was expecting to receive. Their description mentions nothing about wire guage!

    As a comparison the Red crimps which are normally the smaller size seem to be the same size

    I only buy branded crimps. some I bought the copper was as soft as sh.. cheese and the wires fell out .not good on cable joints the ones screwfix sold wernt up to much

    even if there copper some cheapies the copper is soft and easy to crimp the quality ones are a harder copper and harder to crimp

    yep the wires wont and don't pull out. I check all mine after crimping to make sure

    I've not had an issue with the ones I've used previously. Always use ratchet crimpers compared to those mickey mouse nonsense available!

    yep ratchet twin crimp. the presses steel ones only suitable for low voltage stuff

    Interesting!

    I like insulated ones as I know a touch of wires isn't going to create any magic sparks

    They sell shrouds for them. If not i buy branded insulated ones from rapid electronics
