    Morning all.
I’m filling in for someone in a welding department at a college and we don’t have any PowerPoint presentations on the basics of welding - please can I ask if anyone has any they would be willing to share?

    thank you in advance.

Try doing a google or bing search for:

    welding presentation ppt

Several potentially useful links should come up.

So let me get this straight, you are doing a short stint at a welding department and somehow they have been delivering education without any available documentation on the basic of welding? Seems more than a little unlikely. Why would you try and reinvent the wheel during a fill in period and not just use the documentation they already have?

With all due respect I am also confused as to how you got to the position where you are helping in the delivery of welding education given some of the very basic questions you ask here on a regular basis.

Powerpoint is pretty easy to master so you should be able to knock up some presentations using the tutorials on this forum in a couple of hours.

Knowing colleges, they're running around like headless chickens due to staff shortages, so get Curious George, who normally teaches molecular biology, to stand in for a bit of welding tuition ;-)

Register and you'll be able to instantly download the PDF - assuming (being at a college) you'll have something like Serif PagePlus or similar that would allow you to import pages, images, etc., from the PDF.

Edit: found my paper copy - here's a page from the start, could be just what you need...

I've found the PDF so if anyone wants it just send me a message - I'd hate to think that I'd be responsible for anyone on a welding forum with close to 4K posts would fail in their welding because of my finger!

Easy enough to get pdf into power point using the screen shot function, or just selecting the bit you want and pasting it in.

In fact, seeing as I'm able to attach it to messages I may as well just upload it here:
