Anyone else had one of these?

I got one of these with my first ever welder - a Cebora 140 buzz box back in the early 80’s!

I ended up cutting it down into a very small hand held shield for getting into tight spaces. Still have it too!

 

Still got a black one in the shop father grabs it now and again

 

just use the green glass hand held if you do plenty your face ends up like a baboons bum

 

mine was a solid fiberglass looking mask like that, it may still be kicking around as i never throw anything away

 

I have a hand held one and a head mounted one both in black fibreglass and a pack of green lenses for them.

 

Had one of them a long time ago. It was so heavy that you had to tighten the screws so much to keep it from falling you'd then pull it off your head instead of flipping it down.

love it, good bit of detection work there especially the 2 pairs of boots ha ha, couldn't wait to get them listed probably still at the auction

 

Called Pipeliners. Had mine at least 35yrs. Must check the batteries

 

I have one kicking around. When my cheap eBay auto mask fell apart the gubbins still worked ok, so swapped it into the old one as a spare. Must be about 25 years old, seemed like luxury at the time compared with the hand held rubbish supplied with the welders.

 

lol, there is one on the wall, even has the same logo on the front and orange headband

mine still has the fixed shade in it
