Anybody know if possible to have 3phase in domestic garage?
For true three phase from the grid, it doesn’t matter who you know as an electrician. The DNO are the ones who will say yes or no, and the ones who will connect you to the networkIm moving in my house in september,i want 3phase in the garage ,its a 3bed with loft convert ,iv got two uncles who are electricians ,how much am i looking at do you think?
You won’t know until you enquire, you may drop lucky and it won’t be as much as you think or it may be truly eye watering. It’s not going to be cheap even at the lower end of the scale though, at a n absolute minimum a couple of grand I would have thought, and that’s if your lucky.Ahh so no chance then,i was wanting a 400v mig set and an AC TIG for aliminium welding
Likewise in mine re heating.I've got it in mine, the house had storage heaters on 2 phases and the sockets on the 3rd.

Yup. 60s here. Likely all the houses on my road have 3p.Must be early 60s, when atomic power was going to be "too cheap to meter" - if only...
