I was quite fancying this, it has lift TIG too.

It’s difficult to say because it’s unlikely the 13amp fuse will go before you trip out the breaker.what power level do you get up to on a std 13 amp 3 pin supply? they certainly look the same looking at the cases
The 180 is now dual voltage too. And because it’s a resident inverter you get more bang for your amp. I’ve burned 4mm rods on 110 from it in a few demos now.180A will burn a 4.0mm lo-hi rod but you’d be using a Chinese machine at 90-100% of its output well exceeding its duty cycle. Probably why Esab are a bit reservative.
They’re a budget machine, capable, but budget. If you want a real portable stick munching machine look at a Lorch MicorStick. They do a 180A now and that really does pack a punch
Jassic mig / mma 180 set i sometimes use is a good little portable stick set that will burn 4mm 7018 properThanks for the input guys.Completely off track, but i went and bought the Jasic arc 180 SE. Wow! what can i say, what a revelation, i ummed and arred about these three, the easb, the thermal arc,and the jasic, and i read a few more reviews and watched a few vids and in the end, the jasic with the 5 year warranty, swayed it for me.It welds sooooo nice, im nowhere near a pro, but it makes me feel like a welding god now.Im so pleased with it, you wouldnt believe. Its the first time ive used an inverter welder, and tbh now im a complete convert.Im used to oil cooled oxfords. The thing will burn a 2.5mm at 50,70,and 90 amps.At 50 its almost mig like,70 its just nice and burns into a bit of 5mm plate with ease, and 90 its proper rockin.
I bet this is a proper peach with the tig setup.I didnt get that yet, as i wanted to look into the torch setups.TBWS who i bought it from had a tig kit from 30 quid, but im always dubious about low end stuff, so if anybody knows or can recommend a tig setup for it ill be majorly happy. Thanks again Guys ! keep any info rollin as im eager to learn !
