Hi to anyone and everyone.
Got myself a clarke 180 a couple of years back and finally started to practice on it a couple of weeks ago after finally buying a shed.
Stumbled my way through making a log burner from a gas bottle with plenty of grinding on the way.
I had my mig set to min 1 throughout and wire speed at 7ish for what seemed to sound and feel like the infamous bacon frying sound. (.8mm wire)
Tried .6mm wire (s.steel) today and wire speed was virtually maxed out.
Is the mig that I have too strong for this wire or is s.steel harder to learn with?
