a woman near us got stuck in the mud on the river bank trying to rescue her dog that was also stuck in it the tide was coming in and she managed to call the fire brigade out on her mobile luckily as it was nowhere near within ear shot of anyone was working at her house and took the pee and said I hear you are a stick in the mud

When my missus got stuck - she calmly laid down in the mud - wiggled out of her wellies thru them to the kids - then crawled/rolled out on her tummy to spread the wieght.

On arrival home - you wanna see the mess - every part of her down to knickers was covered. Her face/hair - in her mouth.

"The dirtiest foul mouthed middle aged woman you have ever seen".

Kids reckon she was very composed - she did not panic at all.
