So seen a few of these slot and tab kits for welding together your own welding table, but everything is bigger that I would like, ideally a 600mm x 600mm would do for the moment. I've drawn small parts in AutoCAD and used lasermaster to cut them for me with good results, so sketching up a dxf for a welding table shouldnt take me long
I was thinking 10mm top plate and 8mm ribs underneath, but how thick is the laser beam, if I want the slots to fit the tabs neatly, what sort of tolerance is required, 7.9mm, 8.1mm? I seen an American advert selling predrawn dxf files stating that the parts had a 30 thou allowance, but wasn't sure if that was under or oversized
