Got my new toy today after my 150/1 supermig packed in so arrived today my Portamig 215 Its second hand but in good nick although i am yet to try her yet. Theres something i need to know though.
Unfortunately my state of the art workshop is really just in my head and in reallity im stuck with a wooden garage for the mean time. This means i must use an extension cord as the maw wont let me weld in the living room
Anyway i ran a 16amp extension cord to the welder which i put a 16amp plug on and the other end being a 13a house socket i used an adapter. Do you guys think this effects the welder the power alot? should i do this on the portamig or use a standard extension? i just wonder about the thickness of a standard extension and it getting hot?
