My years account charge has just gone up . From £45 to £72 !

I bailed out on AP because their account charges almost trebled in the space of 5 years after giving me an initially low price.
My large sized Argon rental went from £5 a month to £14 a month, every few months they would increase the rental by just a small amount so you wouldn't bother to do anything about it.

I had a cylinder from AP for years and it was £58 rental a year for all the time I had it, must have been over 10 years. I gave it up because I was not using much and had not refilled it for a couple of years.

Air products had an Argon cylinder on 5year contract never again took 12 months to cancel contract.
The hassle one part of the Co saying one thing another saying opposite & the legal department seemed to be with another firm entirely.
We delivered the cylinder back to the depot & when I mentioned the problem we had they just smiled & said your not the only one

Bottle back to depot get a receipt cancel the bank stuff . Job jobbed .

Did,nt know people still use AP...with them for a couple of years and it was a very costly mare. Shocking company for getting response from complaints too

Hope it is that simple for you GET A SIGNATURE for the returned bottle on AP paper stating you have returned it & the contract is canceled.

Best of luck took us months to stop the account department sending bills, never again they could give me the bottle & I would not deal with them.

Had an almost identical experience, had been with them for years Oxy/Acetylene and a bottle of Argon/Co2, cancelled the contract, got the confirmation of cancellation, two months later, they still hadn't picked the bottles up and were still charging me rental. Eventually they picked the bottles up; I'm guessing they'd contracted that bit out, because although the fellow collecting it had the paperwork, he arrived in a knackered Transit pick up, no crane, heaved the bottles up onto the back flat, no effort to secure them and it looked like the bottles would be sharing their journey with a couple of washing machine carcases and his wife would be getting him supper in their caravan on the A1.
AP cancelled the rental for the Oxy/Acetylene but continued to charge me rental on the Argon/Co2. It took months to sort out and I never did get back all the money owed me.
Agreed, never again.

Rang them today and spoke to a very pleasant lady .
Said she didn't know why I'd been sent that as I have a hobby account .
Should be £40 , sending confirmation .
I use them because the local depot is only 5 mile away and open Sat am .
