Am in the process of buying an Oxford Tigmaker AC/DC 270 E pulse duel voltage, ex demo , guaranteed all good and delivered for £1300 have I paid too much and how good is the performance

Oxford are rubbish at marketing. I am pretty sure you can have pulse functions added as an option on any of their welders but they rarely seem to mention it anywhere. They certainly don't give you a hard sell on anything! I would also be pretty sure you could send them yours back to have the pulse retrofitted if you wanted.
