I need to make up a seat pan for a bike I'm building which will meet to be done in two sections, one of which will be curved.
The frame:
The front part of the seat pan will be flat with the rear edge curved to fit around the mudguard as much as possible. The rear part will have to be curved to fit around where the mudguard is raised slightly. I'll compensate for this in the seat foam.
Hopefully he end result will look like this (although I don't have the tools or capability to make it out of one piece).
What thickness steel would be good to use? I intend to cut with an angle grinder and bend by using my hands.
