Hi my first post on here and a few questions please,?
I am no newcomer to mig welding i had a erfi 700 mig for 18 years it was a good welder.
I did not use it often for the last two years i owned it so when i was offered 325 pounds for it i let it go with the bottle the lot.
I did not miss it at all for a few days, but then it dawned on me i had no oxy /acet any more and i only had two arc welders.
I needed a mig, I looked at buying a new clarke 90en for some welding on my old ford prefect but i was given the loan of a snap on 130 that did that job.It worked better than i expected, and i decided i whould try and find one.
I didnt but i got a sealey 120xt for 60 pounds it is working but has no gas or regulator.
I can get pub gas from a mate. but i concidered the gasles whire route. A lot of mig welding i do is outside now. so i thought it may help a little perhaps.?
I have acouple of mig torches, one a big one the other a smaler one, on euro fitting. Is it possible to fit these torches to the sealey?
Is this conversion, worth the expense, ?
How much are the adapters normaly.. i think i saw what i needed on ebay the other day it was 16 pounds last time i looked with a day to go.
Are the sealeys the same machine as snap on welders or are snap ons ceboras?
How does the sealey compare to other budget welders in its class, and are parts available for them readily. it is old but i dont know how old.
Any help or advice on this machine whould be great. thanks ROBBIE
