I see I signed up here over 7 years ago and never actually posted though I have browsed on and off since then, probably about time I introduced myself!
Am involved with education, doing more welding with different processes these days than I was 7 years ago with the day job - there seems to be a good number of knowledgeable folk on here who I will no doubt be picking their brains in due course.
I feel I am doing my bit for England/Scottish relationships due to a disorder which involves propping up the price of Solihull products by purchasing anything that came out of Lode Lane which crosses my path. Land is relatively cheap here for storing such machines and the sea air encourages locals to learn how to weld. These wonderful machines (that don't rust, you know because they have alloy bodies ;-)) prompted the purchase of my first welder many years ago and due to the unsuitability of that (ancient SIP MMA, no fan, single 40/80A switch on front to "control" current) a fair number of subsequent models.
