This project spans a few years, yet has got nowhere in that time
So I've finally pulled my finger out and decided to make a start (again).
Long story short - I started off with a minty mint shell. I paid a 'pro' rod builder to mount an engine and gearbox. Out of the many issues I have with his work, the biggest bit is the crossmember. Rather than cutting the sump for crossmember clearance, he cut into the crossmember and welded it up. This caused the front end to close up by 10mm, meaning the bonnet wouldn't shut properly and the bumper wouldn't align correctly. He also cut 10mm out of my slam panel (rocking horse ****) and ground it back and failed to mention any of it. Thoroughly ****** off with it all, the car sat on my drive for a number of years. And then I decided to throw a V8 in it...
