I am sure i posted on here in the past on this but i cant find my thread an dforgot the suggestions that was given, it was for a smaller tank i think but here is my idea.
Its a 1000g tank, well a bit over but what a few gallon here and there. dimensions L shape each leg being 6 foot, along each back side 10 foot, and 2.5 feet high. Each 6 foot leg has the window in each of full size as possible 6x2.5.
40mm box frame will be all uprights spaced at 2 foot centres aswell as base and 40mm angle viewing window frames with preferable 19mm glass silicone din so the treatment must accept silicone sealant.
First idea is/was to go 40mmx3mm box with plywood and GRP lined etc etc, easy to do that one.
BUT why not all steel, so line the 40mm box frame with steel, say 2mm or maybe 3mm but i think that would be overkill?
Now the only thing is the treating the steel, inside mainly from any pollutants getting in the water from what ever it is treated with, and also how long it will last. One idea i have is to use 2 pack polyurethane, or epoxy, depends how full my wallet is at the time lol.
So throw some ideas at me on what to use.
one day i WILL get this tank done
