I'm going through the stuff in shed #3, and I've pulled out a couple of banana boxes of single insulated cables from 0.75mm to 2.5mm in cross-section which I bought at an auction.
now my basic understanding is 2.5mm for sockets.
1.0 or 1.5 for lighting.
so what is 0.75mm used for? I've got red, black, g+y, and brown. so presumably not for 3-phase. (I'm guessing that 440v can use thinner cable, because less amps?)
would I be right in thinking that 2 lengths of 0.75mm could substitute for a single length of 1.5mm?
