The machine is still at thier workshop at the moment as they're waiting for a diagram for the PCB's to come from the maunfacturer before they can check the PCB's.
My main concern is how much is a reasonable price to pay for this machine to be repaired. I don't want to pay more than the machine...
Just a quick update, I took the machine into the local welding suppliers for them to have a quick look at it and they say all the obvious things check out OK so it looks to be a problem on one of the PCB's and they are now waiting a diagram of the PCB's from the manufacturer.
Now we all know...
You need to swap over the insulator and use the lens collet instead of the regular collet. I recently picked up a whole set including several ferrules for $15.
I'll have a look and see what i can find and give it a go.
No, not tried one yet but will have to get some. What size are you using ?
I've been trying different size cup recently. I had a #6 which came with the torch but i bought a pack of #4 and i find i tend to get on a bit better with these.
Yeah, i seem to be getting some issues with pourosity with the A1's even though the material and the rods are really clean. It's like when you're brazing and there's a bit you haven't cleaned properly and the braze won't flow properly and you end up with a pinhole in the filler.
I have Mig...

Thanks Craig
Up to now i thought that a welding rod was a welding rod and that was it but now i'm really confused. I've been looking at the different rods available from the SIF catalogue and it seems i'm spoilt for choice.
I want a rod that is easy to use and gives good results on mild...
I have some 1.6mm A1 welding rods that i've been using to try and get the hang of my DC Inverter Tig welder with varying success, i can manage to stick things together OK but i need to get things a bit tidier if you know what i mean :ashamed:
Now, i've had conflicting advice from various...
Are the lens's available as a replacement part for these ? I have one that the lens has started to leak on. I found it to be a really good tool and would like to get a new lens for it if possible.
I have the same torch on my Telmig 130 Turbo and it goes Gas valve-Brass washer-Fibre washer-Cable lug-Brass washer-Serated washer-Lock nut.
Had mine apart last week to change the cable and liner.
How far should the Tungston tip be protruding from the ceramic shroud on scratch/lift start torch, and is it the same for 1.6mm and 2.4mm electrodes.
It's a Sealey Inverter 130amp V3
All the consumables are genuine parts and all fitted properly, i know that they're OK as i've tried them in another cutter and they work in that one, and i've tried resetting the air pressure at various pressures.
It's got me stumped, it's worked well up to now, no problems in the last 3...
