I have to disagree with you on this. I'm of the firm opinion that classic cars (apart from safety related items such as seat belts and brakes) should only be modified with parts that were available during the vehicle's production if they want to keep their tax exemption. Putting a modern...
Oh, of course not. I suppose the best thing is to put a note on the first post, and any post with a picture on it, in BIG BLACK LETTERS that any such practice is extremely dangerous, etc etc....
Trouble is, malcolm, people don't always read the whole thread. On another forum I frequent, you regularly get people posting links from the tabloids to have a rant. You know the kind of stories - council gives immigrant single mothers with 10 kids free Porsches. What then tends to happen is...
I always have to consider the VAT in my job. The spreadsheet is designed for hobby users who won't normally be VAT registered, so the prices are VAT inclusive. I can always do the calculation, so as long as I know either way, I'm happy.
Can I suggest Tek screws? These are self-tappers with built-in drill tips. They should pull the two pieces together. I got mine off eBay.
Keep up the good work!
Energas also have an outlet on Hawkins Lane, Burton on Trent if that's better for you. I got my gas from BOC via the Volkszone offer - they have a depot on Raynesway in Derby, or an agent (BentleyFab) in Fauld, near Tutbury.
Me and the missus have rather battered laptops and the older three have rather newer ones, all wirelessed up. The two little ones have the use of an older hand-me-down desktop in the front room. My old desktop is used as a fileserver.
If you haven't already called Justin (phone number and email here), the price of the gas is as follows:
£35.77 inc VAT annual rental
£25.54 inc VAT refill
£61.31 in total take-home price
Still haven't collected mine yet - a when they're open/when I'm available problem. Should have it by...
I've been playing phone tag this week with Justin. The upshot is that the offer still seems to be on - my account's set up and I should collect the bottle this weekend or early next week. As mentioned before, the price has gone up slightly due to the VAT increase.
You're in Kent, I see, as are Adams. They class Kent as local, it's not based on mileage. Although given that they're in Margate, I doubt you'd find somewhere in the UK that's nearer than somewhere in Kent.
If you're not in Kent, then they use a courier. It used to be ANC, now I hear it's...
I must be lucky, then, in a way. Last October, I got a job as a trainee accountant at an old-established firm across the road from college. Ok, so the money's not good at all, but it's better than the housing benefit we were getting so we'll not be out of pocket. They'll pay for my training to...
