I have always found it very hard to examine the back of a wheel arch flange when either checking for rust or when checking that my rust removal efforts have been 100% successful. Space can make it very difficult to use a sand blasting gun. Most of it seems to end up in your face! Mini sanding...
I guess we should not be surprised by the Bonda Prima and Frost WTP results. As is often mentioned on this site, most primers are porous and they are intended to be overcoated.
So it seems as if to improve results I need to buy a spot welder. My normal process for a plug welded seam would be to mask where the welds are going, apply epoxy primer, remove masking and apply weld through, then plug weld.
Just been watching a Youtube video where Ed China has been using AC90 to displace water and protect clean steel. I know many of you advocate using ACF50. Have any of you used both? If so how do they compare seeing as AC90 seems to be cheaper.
I have one just like that. As you have been told by graffian the answer is yes. May I say you need to handle it carefully so as not to come loose. The bottle when not shoved well in can result in an air leak and inadequate paint flow. When shoved well in it will act as a leaver turning the brass...
Doesn't time fly. I am very pleased with the results achieved with epoxy mastic. I started off using Rustbuster's 121. Then, as people were saying it is Jotun rebadged, I moved on to Jotun 80. If you buy the 5L pack it is much cheaper per litre. I can't fault the performance in service of either...
When we were choosing a new daily driver the salesman wanted to know why I was so keen to look inside the fuel filler. He new he had an eccentric customer when I told him I wanted to see how easily I could remove the flap.
When adjusting the pressure to start with, I read off a gauge at the gun but adjust on my wall mounted regulator. I was told that cheap gun mounted regulators aren't very good. So I leave that fully open and just use it as a gauge.
I keep and old car door skin to test spray before spraying the...
May I ask why these particular oils are better than others?
I have squirted thin oil into box sections prior to waxoyl in the past. But the oil I use is duck oil. I am working on the basis that it might soak into any crud in the bottom and soak into flange seams between the spot welds.
