All wheels should be torqued on by rights we always did. If it was ran up with a gun it had to slackened and then re torqued to the proper setting although in your case if they have cross threaded them it would not make any difference. What kind of numpty manages to cross thread all four?
Not just cars though been after a Suzuki TS125 which I learnt to ride on and the prices are just stupid even for wrecked ones. I suppose its a case of people my age clearing the mortgage off, kids left home and wanting something they had or lusted after when they were younger. Sadly I still have...
One firm I worked for had 4 SIP 350 and 2 SIP 500 welders and were never any trouble. They got a good deal on them from the dealer. One got dragged into the pit along with the bottle once. Fished it out straightened the panels out and still worked. Don't think its a case of getting a reputable...
I was the same! No holiday pay and we were not allowed to work any overtime. Boss seen I was keen (cheap keen) and paid me cash for overtime. Did get to the dizzy heights of £35 in the 2nd year though!
Good luck to your lad with the apprenticeship hope it works out for him
All I know I was working for a company that had that type of scheme, any tools we brought came off our wages and was like that for a couple of years and came to a stop. The accountant had told the firm they could not do it, HMRC would take a dim view of it. It was maybe the way they were doing...
I got told I could only claim for protective clothing such as overalls. Trousers, shirts, etc were excluded
I think Teng are doing a winter promotion on toolboxes, including some basic tools, sockets, screwdrivers, spanners. Cheapest is £500, not sure what you are wanting to spend but its...
Not 100% but I don't think they are allowed to do this. The firm I worked for did a similar scheme and it came to an abrupt end. Why I don't know but they were told by the accountants to stop it or big trouble off HMRC
However keep all tool receipts as YOU are allowed to claim so much back from...
We had similar problems and house has walls over 2' thick. When we moved in we had all the walls done with new plaster and new double glazed windows. The first winter the window was always soaking and then the mould started. Plaster off and we put plaster boards on that had polystyrene on the...
90s Maestro/Montego 'S' series engines were really prone to it even from new, just a poor design but it took them years to even attempt a fix on them. I think one of them was to cover the oil filler tube.
I have a 5" metabo grinder with 5.2 and the newer 5.5 batteries. It's had a up rated motor already and I've noticed today it's started to put the red light on (overheating) more and more so it's going back. It's maybe getting a bit more abuse than most I don't know. I have a lot of metabo gear...
That's mice though they are no good for rats. They like easy stuff to kill. Brother in law have farm cats and they just watch the rats go past.
Was a program on about polecats on TV and there favourite prey is rats. They were persecuted as they were often found near poultry sheds and farmers...
Polecats/ferrets are the best animal to tackle rats, can get into the same places the rats go and the smell of them keeps them away. Cats are useless, they like easy stuff to tackle. Terriers are good in big sheds. The brother in law has big grain sheds and they are heaving with rats, literally...
I did one for a lad at work. It was a Marin. He slit his the same way. I just kept the weld low and kept putting little dabs on. Its a push bike. He has been using it while and its been ok.
