Guess I’ll have answer my own question.
But first, the ‘grounding problem’. Cos basically there ain’t one, (ground not problem) but there’s info on YouTube to put it right.
I know the T12 doesn’t operate/communicate in the same way the 907 type does, but there’s a small circuit board you can...
I met these at Stafford Bike Show on Saturday. They had quite a few keenly priced milling cutters on the stand, but don’t seem to list them on website ! I’ll have to drop them an email
I realise I’ll have to sort through them and appreciate the advice. Even if there’s only couple good uns I’m quids in. I was thinking slightly bigger Chuck would provide momentum? Maybe not ? I’m not going to be milling anything big and mainly working in aluminium so I’m thinking I’ll need a...
I was talking to Jez off here down pub. I said last week to him about buying a Chuck with er40 instead of 36.
Looking at what I bought for £15, it’ll work out cheaper with er40 anyway. Thanks for advice chaps. I’m quite new to milling and Jez n me picked up a Chester Model B Super couple of...
I bought a job lot of milling cutters a few years back. Guy was closing down and they were going cheap. Anyway, 30 of them have one inch shanks with threaded ends. The rest are around half inch to five eighths. I can get a collet to fit the smaller ones into my mt3 mill, but what do I need for...
Still not fitted the drive motor, but it does look smart on the shelf !
Anyway, been more successful with the welder since I discovered that the bloody screw holding the wire spool on kept tightening up. I clamped the screw head with a spring clamp and it has welded much better since. I’ve also...
They do come with insulating kit (Basically some plastic bits) and fixing bolts as photo, also they use these

Or you can save money n buy from China for £2-40.
They are fixed...
Well, the new wire drive has arrived. Seems very good quality and all for £24.99 inc post. Pity I actually finished welding the van today ! I’ll need to source a wheel for 0.6 wire, but it looks a very familiar type
So looks like this’ll be another ‘round to it’ project. Perhaps someone else...
Tried again today but still the same. The flow gauge reads right round past max and hit the zero stop ! The other gauge still reads decent pressure. I’ll get my mate who I borrowed them off to check on his bottle, could be I’m running out of gas or could be regulator has gone duff. I’ve run out...
Have my Cosmo 100 welding better than ever. Using 0.6 wire n co2. Settings on high - max and speed set around 9-10 o’clock. It’s a bit much for thin stuff but welding 2 to 3mm it’s great. I’ve ordered a 24v wire drive from China. It’ll be weeks before it arrives so I’ll muddle on with this for now !
was welding up my chassis today. Using co2 that local pub gave me which works pretty good, but after a few hours in the sun I heard this hissing sound which was coming from the bottle. On inspection the bottle had got quite warm in the sun and the hissing was coming from the what looks like a...
Well, it’s hard to say. I still can’t move anything. What a crap design. There’s nothing on the end of the crank, no bearing not even a circling to stop the rods from walking along and falling off. It’ll have to wait for now as the welding on my camper van has turned into a nightmare. Chassis is...
