Hi Just a question about a 125amp chinese dc tig...
I plan to weld mild steal upto a 3mm, max 4mm if i dont use my mig or arc.
i also want to do abit of s/s welding such as manifolds, exhuast cant imagine that steal will be to thick 2.5 to 3mm if that.
will that power tig set be upto...
This is exactly what i did.
I had a 105en, which isn't a bad welder if your not 100% worried about penatration :laughing:, I found my self doing bigger projects and sold it on, and bought a "as new" 150amp sealy welder from ebay for 150notes.
so imo for £190 you should be able to get...
What thickness metal are you welding, you might find better results moving upto 0.8 wire
I have the same welder, with the same size wire, but a small reel, i noticed it does this when welding something thick and turning up the wire speed stops it.
sorry i dont know much about the welder, but why are you looking at big machines if you only have a single phase supply? or do you plan to upgrade in the future?
