As the title says im looking for a build thread about someone who built a smelting pot from an old gas bottle but i can't seem to find it, i am pretty sure it was on here i saw it so if anyone can point it out to me it would be very much appreciated.

Making sure your rear crossmember and rear lower inner corners are very clean is hard as you struggle to get in with a grinder unless you have a belt sander, if not use the sharp corner of wood chissel to scrape the sealer and rust back to shinny metal, i do them like this if i don't have any...
And what makes it really sad is that Richard Branson wanted to buy a British Airways Concord to put back in service and BA refused to sell him one.

Hi **********, i usually keep the starters a alternaters for future use, how far i go depends on my timeframe, i always check cats as well, if cheap eurocat they stay on, i have a guy gives me £4 each for average size scrap batteries, i don't really bother with the heads due to the time involved...

I just stand on my alloy cans and put em in a mail type sack, they weigh in as rolled alloy at £750 a ton last time i weighed, a sack did £7.50, the steel cans, bottle tops, old nuts a bolts ect all go in the boot of a scrap car now and again, and as much of the loom comes out of the scrap car...
I had this same problem last month with footman james, they don't have an underwriter for the motor trade side, i ended up renewing with peter james (this was started by the guy who started footman james) for £439 a year tp only with me dealing cars, vans, classics and yanks.

I am looking at getting myself a tig welder and have seen some rockworth tigs advertised at very little money and was wondering if anyone had any experience of the welders, as in quality, ease of use ect.

There's a place called Dip a quick strip in leeds as i keep seeing their van about, don't know if they do car parts though, there is also a place in york that does do cars and parts, no idea of a number mate but you should be able to google it.

Try your local freecycle or freegle web site, or check out a site that has been vacated by our lovely traveling comunity, usually have loads of empty bottles left behind.

I've used fire extinguishers in the past with no problems, and i was thinking of using one again as the last couple of pub bottles i have had have welded terible, not much better than using no gas at all.
