If common sense was to prevail, option 2 would be the one but it won't :D
Option 4 will win out in the end I think
I've been having a good look at mine today, between that and your thread, my enthusiasm is flying back!
I can only hope it lasts a bit longer this time, onward and upward...
:clapping: Another hero! The kind you never hero
You're right about the interiors though, seem to be indestructible, both mine look like 3 year olds not 30!
Mine both came from a silly week on eBay not long after my 50th birthday, seemed like a good idea at the time :ashamed:
Now 5...
Looking forward to seeing your decision, I've got 2 of them sitting here waiting on me getting off my **** and doing something
The more I look, the farther back the start date gets
Thanks Nick, anyone have any thoughts on how strong my clamp idea would be?
2 x 12mm nuts welded to outside of 50x50x4 box with 2 12mm bolts tightened down on 40x40x3 running inside?
I'm looking for adjustment on the height the car will sit at as I have no idea where the centre of mass/gravity...
At long last, 4 years +, I'm at long last starting on my rotisserie/spit for the car!
Still at the planning/mock up stage but at least there are a few 7.6m lengths of box here now.
Where I'm getting stuck is, the bits that have to be adjustable, I'm don't have a clue which bolts I...
Too snug I think, that would be an interference fit and that doesn't take into account the weld inside the 30 box.
Can you get the 30 with 2mm walls? I've used 20mm box inside 25 with 2mm walls, 1mm clearance, a bit tight to start with but OK.

Hi Paul
Just caught up with the thread, looking good and somewhere to boil the kettle can't be bad :)
Can I ask? What is that flexi you are using as the exhaust/flue? I'm trying to get round to building one myself ;)
Jack
Thanks for all the replies guys :)
Today was really my first time using these discs for anything other than the odd cut.
My technique improved as the day went on and was getting not bad "mileage" out of them by the end of the day.
Next time I need some I'll heed the above advice ;)

Hi All :)
I'm setting out on a project and have some 100 x 100 x 5 to cut. I got some Blue Spot 1mm discs, they say stainless steel on them and had a go this morning.
All is going well, can even keep a straight line :clapping: but seem to be chewing through the discs quite fast. I'm cutting...
Thanks all again :)
Nope, no razor point or illuminated mirror.
Strange the circuit that feeds hall and bathroom is disconnected but the bathroom light switch still starts the extractor fan.
Just been up in the loft and no sign of rodents, corpses or gnawing.
Time to call a Sparky and get...
At a loss now, checked all the switches and no sign of heat or chaffing.
Removed them one by one and still the same.
Will check loft for a "deid moose" or signs of a live one tomorrow.
After that will have to be a sparky, I was sure it was gonna be those roses, they literally fell apart when...
Update:
Bedroom lights were on same circuit as garage so they are back on now too :)
The 2 lights in the hall and the bathroom lights were the ones with the burnt/brittle roses so new roses fitted to clean wire and fitted a new extractor fan while I was at it, old one packed up months ago...
