petrol is added to tvo to increase the octane rating. Paraffin (purified kerosene - burns less sooty) is around 20 octane, petrol 95 octane.
Fergy needs octane of 50 - 70 octane to run well, so you need to add petrol to increase the octane rating.
If working very hard (ploughing etc ) you can...
someone did this to me. Not my name but to my address. Informed DVLA as soon as we got the V5. Didnt make any diference.
Then followed 2 yrs of parking fines, court dates, speeding tickets and finally a charge to dispose of a burned out car
from a motorway.
And then the monthly knocking on the...
The high pressure fuel pump/rail on my Audi (petrol) uses a banjo bolt which states "single use" - it doesnt use any sealing washers and has a ridge that locates inside the banjo fitting. I tried reusing them but the star drive head distorted when tightening to 40Nm (haynes manual spec) and...

I have a 3hp Clarke compressor, it runs on a 16amp mcb, "D" type. it ran fine on a "c" type until it got really cold then it trips all the time.
The previous owner used to run it on a 13 amp plug, never had a problem but it was in a heated garage next to a boiler, which helps
well. its definitely fake. The label is subtly different to the real thing and has typo's.
The seller has a business retailing this stuff on ebay, UK registered Strangely no reply to emails.
Surely there is a safety implication to this?
Would Henkel be interested in this? or Trading Standards...
no codes on the bottle. It just looks low quality and not like something a top company would allow out. Pretty sure its fake.
Will go back to the supplier see whay they say...
Just bought a 10ml pack of 641 from a "reputable" online supplier. Don't use it much so I have nothing to compare it to,
Anyway, just happened to notice that the label, although it looks good, there are spelling mistakes, strange grammar and poor spacing on the label. It does state "made in...

but.... that serial number doesnt match that tractor.....
the number dates to 1954, the tractor is 6v and dates before 1951. Not a big deal but it might be a problem with paperwork.
the number on the original docs is the engine number, should be stamped on the...
I'm more familiar with NGK, I have BP6ES in mine, my plug chart shows Champion N10Y as an equivalent, but it might be outdated info. First I would check if it is an original TED or a TEA petrol converted - lots of kits were available at the time, even a factory one. Main difference is the head -...
Nice tractor...
I've been playing with Fergies for the last 35 years - its my "other" hobby. Currently got a 3 TE's, a 1951 TVO, 1954 diesel and a 1947 Continental petrol engine owned for years but my current resto project. (also a Fordson somewhere..)
Would recomend the Friends of Ferguson...

complete opposite here.... scooters everywhere ....adults on pavements off to work... completely ignored. Ebikes on the other hand are stopped every 5 minutes. Looking for a road legal tag and check its only peddle assist and not switched apparently. Guess it depends on the local force....
