Arr sweet.
1400 Datsun Bakkie, the runabout of choice for Saffers.
Actually a very handy little thing.
But I wouldn't like to collide with anything bigger than pushbike.
Speaking of BMW Minis - which we won't - they now have the same footprint as the original Range Rover.
As @Erie Fred...
True, but if you own 3 white Transits only one needs to be taxed, tested and insured. The other two 'borrow' that one's number plate.
All good until you are pulled over.
But where do you send the NIP?
I would find the price of a decent condition one of the same specification and age.
Add 10-25% to that number and present that as an estimate, subject to further inspection. Inspection and quote subject to a 10% non-refundable deposit.
But then I'm mean like that.
Interestingly the NHBC document cited above says:

Longitudinal bracing member at rafter node point
Applicable to all rafter node points. Not necessary where:
spacing between braced nodes is less than 4.2m, or
As the entire length...
I should have thought to consult that document. I have done so before in a disagreement with a subcontractor over ventilation fan ducting.
However, it indirectly confirms @gaz1 observations about ease of installation:
longitudinal bracing members should extend the full length of the roof...
Precisely.
That was my thought. I can't see why the Binders would be any less effective if they were rotated to align with the top chord rather than the web. I would move the metal strap to the wall to match.
I'll try to mark up the drawing I found.
Oddly enough I subscribed to him ages ago.
My garage roof looks like the diagram above. As it is a 45deg pitch there is full headroom under the ridge.
Naturally, I have boarded it out and use it for storage of light treasure - empty suitcases, cardboard boxes, packing and the like. I store everything as close to the walls as possible...
I know you are making an Art piece but check that real molding. No part is attached to another part. Each part springs from its own sprue.
Then have another go at the client to include the sprue ID (aka your nameplate) - all in the interest of authenticity of course.
That's an interesting...
In daylight hours, no.
At night yes - the Highway Code (used) to say you must park in the direction of travel so the red reflectors and white headlight lenses show to approaching drivers.
Around these parts there is no-one enforcing these rules so they are regularly ignored.

actually any multiple of an mks unit that isn't a 1000. I'll make an exception for time!
I'm 1951 model so in the transition generation.
Taught in cgs at school, then transitioned to mks at university.
Joined a US oil company in the UK on a 1970's built site. Thoroughly bizarre mix of unusable units. Liquid hydrocarbon flows in bbls/d, gas flow in Nm3/h, steam in tonnes/hr, water...
Trim pieces of that type from that era are usually chrome-plated brass. You have probably worn through the chrome to the nickel or even the underlying brass.
For more complicated pieces such as door handles or mascots they might be made of cast Mazak or 'Monkey Metal' then chrome plated.

That's why back in the day all three of my boys drove 10 year old Rover 820s.
Uncool for youngsters
Old man's car so good claim record
Being over 10 years old seemed to make a difference too.
Be careful adding yourself as a named driver - for MX-5s and Bikes trying to add me increased the...
