Take the tiles off and use an oscilating toll to remove the old adhesive, you get special blades for it which are great, then there is no need to replace the plasterboard, you may have to sand the 2" that will be above the tiles to get it smooth before painting
We have a few of those drills at work, they look quite dinky next to the big lathe (5m swing) but when you try and pick up the drill bits you realise the scale of those things
I put reversing sensors on my car as a reversing camera and screen was too much work and mess in the car. Having looked around the Dolphin and steelmate ones seemed to get good reviews. I fitted a steelmate kit, simple and they work well. It only took about 30 mins (sensors pre-painted the right...
Just a damp cotton cloth if doing it by hand, with cellulose, unless very dark I find it of minimal benefit to use the G10 after the G3 as cellulose is not that glossy anyway
The point I was making is that there are more ways to lose your house than health problems and the state rarely steps in.
There are lots of people in the US (and many other countries) who have their own health insurance not through an employer - also keep in mind that IIRC it is about £3000 per...
I am not convinced that the NHS is more equitable for the vast majority of people, those who work should see their incomes rise if everyone had to pay for medical insurance themselves? It is all a matter of perspective, but whilst I can see a great unfairness at someone who worked for most of...
I am not saying it is a better system, just a different one - but what about house insurance, people have a choice and if they do not insure their house will lose a lot of money if there is a fire, same for contents insurance, people can choose to insure their car fully comp or take the risk if...
They run the experiment during the day, the flywheel generators are run up by pony motors (which are not actually that big) and then used to generate a series of pulses for the experiment.
The US just has a different system, rather than being forced to pay people have a choice to have health insurance or not, for many good healthcare comes with their job - the flip side is taxes are lower (when considering all the offsets that can be made). Medicare is also funded by a direct tax...
Give it time, you can actually get some cheap older EVs now but with very limited range and not really that usable give it another 5 or 6 years and you will get a lot more hybrids on the second hand older car market, but it will be quite a few more years after that before reasonable full EVs...
The early Leafs did have a very limited range, about 70 miles for real world use so it would only have been a second car used for tootling around, even now with the bigger batteries, they are a relatively small car to use for regular long journeys. What can be seen from the Leaf though is that...
EVs are not actually that much heavier than a lot of ICE cars, plus if it was determined just by weight the most unreliable vehicles on the road would be HGVs.
Modern cars for the most part seem to suffer relatively few mechanical problems except the engines themselves, most seem to be...
You can join the many many other people that cannot afford to buy a new car and lease one!
In reality prices will come down and the tax breaks given to company car drivers will start to seed to used car market. Also note some companies only lease you the batteries, so when they need replacing...
As per my post above, EV vehicles do not work if you plan to buy them from savings and keep them for a a good length of time, however, if you are like the vast majority of people and lease your vehicles then (quickly running a couple of base model examples) £264 per month for an electric Kona (3...
It is not the company that offset the tax, just that no BIK is charged, but if you have a look at leasing deals, due to the strong residuals there is not always much difference between a ICE vehicles and EVs, there are several to be ahd for under £200 a month
They are hoping to get the price of...
From personal experience, I owned a plug in hybrid Merc for 4 years it had a 211hp petrol engine and an 86hp electric motor, I did the majority of my running on electric and had free electricity at work. The price was right to buy the car but from my ownership and having driven a few other EVs...
Cost, Hydrogen costs more than a petrol or diesel to run and that is based on fossil fuel derived hydrogen, if you go for renewable energy produced hydrogen they will cost more again to run
They are a German company but the boilers are mostly manufactured in the UK, although IIRC some of the cheaper valliant units are actually just re-brands of another make (Glow Worm?)
Their controller is a rebranded unit (Netatmo?)
You would have a much better idea on the warranty than me, I...
