It's on a massive RSJ!
Wheel probably does need dressing = didn't realise it would have that effect.
Cheap fix fellas - which I REALLY need! Thanks
Jim
Hi all, my 8" bench grinder has started vibrating when it is getting up to speed and when it's slowing down.
At full speed it's fine.
I can't feel any play in the shaft anywhere - anyone got any ideas?
It's probably the most used tool in the garage so I'd like to fix it rather than let it...
I'm using something from RDG at the moment (branded as maybe millers?) - it has different ratios dependent on what it's being used for
I'll dig out the details when I'm next in the garage
The problem I have with a suds pump is that the suds will sit for days (sometimes weeks) without needing to be used. During this time they go mouldy and are quite hazardous to health as they require aeration to prevent the mould.
I could do with a system which is either very cheap (or free) to...
Ah, cool - sounds like I need the 4 then.
Comp has tank (obvs), tank gauge, regulated gauge & safety valve.
Presume regulator & gauge would take up 1 port not 2 (otherwise that would be 5)?
Thanks for your help
Hi all, the diaphragm in my wolf compressor has ripped, they're not available as a separate unit so I need to replace the whole switch unit.
Machine mart sell a 1 port 20 amp version or a 4 port 20 mp version.
How do I tell which one I need (or does it not matter)
Cheers
Jim
I also bought a concrete breaker, broke up 100m2 of concrete between 4 and 8" thick. Again for less than the price of a kew days hire of a kango. It allowed me to do it at my leisure rather than booking time off work and spending all day every day for 3 days at it.
When it was done off on ebay...
A perfect lesson in how standing about doing bugger all & drinking tea for 15 minutes adds 45 minutes onto a job.
GM didn't have to turn the bolt down he just had to take it to someone to turn down and bring it back.
Think you are right RTB, however for the sake of a phone call I will give it a go. Switch may be cheaper from Wolf, you never know.
And thanks for the advice all. I have learnt a couple of things so that is something
Identified the problem.
Underneath the switch mechanism / electrical contacts is a rubber gasket (or possibly diaphragm). This has a rip it - hence it's pis, sorry PASSing air whenever there is any pressure to do so.
I will give the wolf after sales team a call tomorrow to see if one is...
Sorry, I'm confused...
The compressor is leaking form somewhere inside the switch cover. Have removed the switch cover but can't see where it's coming from.
Have removed & re-fitted the non-return valve, it's clean, no gunk and still the same problem.
As soon as I fire it up it starts...
I have to pull all the nails out pre-burning as we have a riddling grate and otherwise the nails all find their way inbetween the grate. Very dirty & annoying job
oh right, much more simple than I thought!
The compressor leaks when it is running (and will only pressurise to about 2bar) and then continues to leak until it's empty after turned off.
Hi all.
My Wolf 24l compressor starting leaking air constantly today. Google seems to point to a faulty unloader valve, anyhow i was in need of a compressor so a trip to Machine Mart occurred.
I'll try and source a new unloader valve but depending on the cost, and the fact I now have a new...
