Hello,
I have a Clarke 170T with a missing wire feed tension arm. Clarke have kindly told me they will relieve me of around £82 for the whole wire feed assembly which seems a bit much when all I want is a small piece of plastic with a bearing/roller in it.
Does anyone know where I could get...
Hello,
I have a SIP 105 Migmate and I need to fit a new wire feed potentiometer. The original pot says 1 ohm on one side and 2K2A on the other. When I look at potentiometers for sale they all have a K between the number and the ohms symbol and this has got me confused.
Do I need a 1K ohm pot...
I own a Polo, but mine is year 2000 so earlier shape than your daughters car.
I was driving it at the weekend when it beeped at me and the oil pressure warning light came on. I was surprised because the engine was running perfectly, no nasty noises and I was sure it had plenty of oil in it...
The MTA 231 for £549 + VAT on here http://migtigarc.co.uk/MIG_Welder/mig_welder.html looks like the same thing, but I'm not sure if the spec is identical.
I resprayed my car in 2k paint, but have polished through the paint in a couple of areas, so the primer is showing through. As I had paint left over, I resprayed the affected areas, but you can see where the old and new paint meet even though the paint match is perfect because all of the paint...
I painted the underside of my bootlid and bonnet in 2K paint and it came out quite well, but had slight orange peel and I got a couple of runs. I had the spray gun set at 40psi which I think was probably a bit high and want to know what changes I should make before I paint the bits that aren't...
I was trying to spray my car yesterday and no matter how I adjusted the gun I couldn't get a decent finish. I can't get the paint to come out as a fine spray, it is more like lots of blobs of paint which soon turn to runs when I go over it enough times for the blobs to give total coverage...
If it has a gas valve in the torch (it will be a big plastic or brass block with a little button sticking out of it) take it apart and try replacing the O-rings.
I don't regret asking the question and I'm grateful to you all for responding.
My brother has a Triumph Herald which was resprayed by one of his friends. When a rear quarter panel needed to be repainted the same friend did the work. He started with a full tin of paint and when he had...
I'm going to respray my Ford Anglia, but I don't know how much paint I'll need.
I've stripped the underside to bare metal, painted it in epoxy primer and then stone chip. However, the rest of the shell needs painting including the engine bay, interior, and inside the boot.
How much epoxy...
I also have an XR914H and I'm very happy with it.
I have a SIP welder which regularly annoys me to such an extent that my welding helmet often gets thrown across the garage, yet it takes everything I throw at it or throw it at.
No, I haven't used it, but I'm going to buy some and give it a try soon.
I've had another look at the House of Kolor website and KDA2000 is the activator/hardener, KD2000 is the actual primer.
I sent the paint supplier an Email asking what is in the paint, so hopefully I will know for sure soon.
I wouldn't want to touch anything with isocyanates in no matter what mask I was using, but if the paint was iso-free I'd be happy to use it but would still be careful.
When I was learning to weld the fumes used to worry me, as did the black snot and the general feeling that I had been inhaling something nasty.
I bought a box of 3M 9925 face masks and now have normal snot, don't feel like I'm inhaling anything nasty and feel fine even after many hours of...
