Guys, thanks so much for your help! I was banging my head against a wall trying to find them, I tried image search but didn't use those exact words and seen nothing:doh:
Anyway, thanks again, I am pretty sure I will get what I need.
Cheers
Hi All,
I am looking to source a replacement for this bungee cord grip, does anyone have any ideas where to source this? or any ideas for suppliers? I have spent ages chasing through the internet trying to source these but to no avail. I am hoping someone might see it and maybe know where...
Was thinking of drilling and tapping as well, though would prefer to be using a through hole, so that I can slightly oversize the hole and drill it before powder coat, means I get good protection and hopefully no rust runs. Plus would probably need to touch the back end of the screws with a flap...
Don't really fancy re-doing all the framework on the trailer to replace with box, here is a few pics I orignally posted up when I first built it. LINK
Sort of want to keep it as is to save a bit of money and hassle, although it could be an option.
Some great ideas here, thanks everyone!! The camtainer was the sort of thing I was thinking on as well but I could not find them anywhere!! Got the idea from the fasteners you get in flat pack furniture to join sheets together. Going have a good look at these now, thanks for that.
I am looking at reconditioning my trailer, was thinking of getting the frame powder coated and sheeting the sides and base with galv steel, after its been powder coated (currently just have T&G wood on sides and base). I was thinking how to fasten the steel to the frame on the sides, it is made...
This looks like an amazing project!! One which I would hope to copy sometime. Keep the updates and the photos coming, following with interest on how you are going to engineer this and how it will turn out! Looking forward to seeing how you do the hydraulics as well.
Looking good L.O.D, although are you not worried you are going to run out of sockets etc with all those models your making!! Would be annoying if you go to look for one and realise you have welded into the middle of that Super, Super Bike!!! lol.
I have seen a convoy of caravans stopped on a dual carrigeway on the left lane where there was no hard shoulder with the front caravan deciding to do a right turn infront of me with the caravan acrosss the fast lane and 3 other caravans beside me in the left lane, luckily i wasn't going to fast...
OK, just have never seen it on any trailers I suppose. Yeah i reckon as long as you have the load well secured with the trailer in good nick you should be safe enough, to be honest dont really take any heavy loads mostly has been a couple of sheets of MDF etc and hedge clippings.
yeah they are really cheap!! pitty about the surcharge on delivery for us though!! I used trailertek for most of my parts, and i used a place in ballymena that specialises in trailers for the springs and jockey wheel.
ghound - cheers, yeah just seemed easier and cheaper as i got a good deal on the hubs and wheels and made my own axel, got a pretty good price for the springs and mountings bits as well!! that looks like a sturdy trailer alright, not bad for 400, you using it for plant? I see plenty of bargains...
Fair comment pinman!!!
Oz, has not been used to full effect yet, planning on try out the beer can chicken recipe with it!! but worked well when i dit have it going!!
I recently "acquired" a half keg . So I thought to myself what is the ultimate accessory for a student house that I could make with this and it had to be a BBQ so here it is. Not much to it just knocked up a stand for it and cut the keg in half and put a hinge on it, just need to find a...
