Ive got one. Without looking it may be for the AS140 but the basic information is the same. If you send me a private message with your address, bank details, credit card pin numbers, inside leg measurement etc, I'll send you a copy.
Only joking, just the address and leg measurement...
Just looking at the MTA181 from Migtigarc. Is that what they go for? Also the other stuff on their site I know the cost prices of. Whats the point of selling stuff if you're practically giving it away? I have to charge more because I deliver and set the machine up and show them the controls and...
Just had a talk with Richard at Technical Arc, Steve. He hasn't tried that set on brazing yet. I said the next time I'm in the area I'll take some brazing wire in and we can have a play with it. It certainly sounds like a useful machine though. A lot of garages are asking for pulse to eliminate...
This might have nothing to do with it, but take the gun from the machine and look into the Euro socket. I've often found that the gas nipple on the gun side snaps off at the 'O' ring and gets stuck in the gas hole, so when you try to plug in a new gun it won't go all the way in. I've even had...
They didn't all have an on/off switch but that one appears to. If the fan runs all the time looks like someone's been messing with it. Does everything work with the switch off? Maybe it's been bypassed.
I could probably sort you out a gas solenoid. Is it 110v AC? (It should say on the side)...
No it's just freezing fog here (near Hexham). The wife's gone down to Mickleton (Co Durham) to see her favourite band and she says her jets have frozen over. She took my van with it's heated windscreen so she'll be OK.
Let's get this straight. I'm happily married with five kids. I don't sit here like a saddo waiting to talk to people. The wife's out and the kids are watching High School Musical. That's all it is. Just coincidence. I could have been out...:(
Sling it!:clapping:
Only kidding. Give the gas valve a firm tap. If it starts working, i.e. the gas flow stops, take the valve to bits. There may be a bit of grit (or PTFE tape:mad:) in there jamming the piston open, or stretch the spring a bit. If you can't get the valve to bits, a new one...
Hello Deepete. My mate Malcolm in Leeds rewinds transformer coils http://www.mswelding.co.uk/index.htm 0113 2521763. Pity I didnt know yesterday. I was in Dunfermline and I'm in Leeds on Tuesday, could have dropped it off for you. Give him a ring and he can give you an idea of cost, might help...
We used to use Escort vans then when they stopped making them got a Transit Connect with a tailgate  Great for when it's raining but they aren't standard fit so you don't see many tailgates. The mechanism is crap, it just doesn't work right. I put an extra spring inside to make the handle...
Well it's got to be worth more than £200 but I honestly don't know how much. Ebay has distorted the value of stuff, people pay stupid money for crap and get good stuff for next to nowt.
It's up to you to decide how much you want to spend but I think the Camarc is up there with the best quality...
I had a go with this machine with 0.6mm and 0.8mm wire, argon mix gas. Seems smooth enough to use low down. The motor whines a bit which I don't like - don't like Mickey Mouse motors
It's a Chinese machine but built for Wilkinson Star, obviously with Cebora in mind. I'd be quite happy...
We sold hundreds of Camarcs in the 80's and 90's, both light industrial and heavy, 160 amp to 600 amp. They were originally built by two ex-Butters guys in Coventry. They were then sold to Rothley Engineering in the now-well-known village of Rothley (:()
They were very robust and the 160...
That's about £500. Sounds a lot unless it's almost new. Might be better looking for something a bit bigger 2nd hand or get it and a cheap stick welder for the thicker stuff.
I could get you a 10-40 amp inverter cutter for £700.00 + carriage + VAT. It comes from Technical Arc, they buy them in and upgrade them so maybe they would charge only the one delivery charge for a new one and your old one together.
