Have a look at Kojack particularly the adaptor that fits the pre drilled holes in the chassis behind the axle. I made a copy and use an old scissor jack witha bolt and washer "pin" on top. The pin fits a hole in the bottom of the barcket and prevents the jack slipping. I use it when doing the...
I have had similar issues. Each joint in the cable gives a volt drop. as does the length of the cable. Add to this, the switch will give a volt drop and you soon get below the required volts to energise the starter relay. just measuring with a test lamp shows the circuit working but closer look...
Go to a bearing place such as ERIKS. They do drive belts and can measure match the original. Or match the numbers you have. Also measure the wides part of the pulley and the narrowest Part to identifie the V. Measure around th two pulleys to get the length. Also finally measure the out side of...
What happened to Microsoft saying Windows 10 was the last variant and that there would only small frequent tweak's rather than major operating system renewals at a cost to the user. Lied to again. But its ok, the punter will pay.
Could be a "stiff nut" last thread or so binds onto the bolt as a locking device. You some times see the nut nipped on one side or the thread slightly deformed. Used instead of nyloc or split pins.
The tensioner has a ball check valve in it to stop the plunger returning fully when engine stopped with not oil pressure. The new tensioner is effectively hydraulic locked. Take end cap off and drain oil out. Then plunger will return fully allowing you to bolt it up. Oil pressure will set the...
Go for a mig for now. Save a bit and then learn stick/arc welding and buy a cheap s/d arc welder of 140+ amps which will then do your heavier welding jobs like towing eyes. Two new skills. win win.
577 is a thicker version of 572. Its suitable for stainless as well as other materials. It is also suitable for oil and diesel pipework. I found it sealed well when unable to fully tighten joints but more difficult to dissemble at a later date. Put a ring round near the end of the male fitting...
Give up. Use watsap on phone to video call. Works ok for up to four people. Or try Zoom, also free, for up to 100 people which I think you can also record the meeting. Then your wife can use it any where.
Get a jig and use a router with new deep cutter. Makes a really neat joint. Use a biscuit cutter to give the joint extra stiffness if required. Jig also used to cut recess in the underside for the hidden clamps. Coat the exposed joint area with evostick of other waterproof-er and let dry before...
Thats lousy treatment. I had like an ultrasound initially (don't know proper name) showing 15%. Then after being on pills for 6 months had an MRI (showing 38%). 3 monthly checks for first year at cardio Nurse clinic. Now annually. They said I would never be cured but take the pills etc and no...
My doc said no one has 100% efficiency, Normal healthy person is around 60%. I was 15%. Now up to about 38%.
Minimum for HGV licence was 40% according to DVLA but needs forms signed by doc. All my licences, bike, car, LGV,PCV, tracks were taken off me inc HIAB. Now got car, bike and up to 3.5...
I was told only 40% required, may be worth double checking. Like I said, take the pills, light exercise and healthy food. Try not to get stressed. Hope all goes well for you and you get licence back. I was lucky found soon enough and a job change made a big difference. still found it a bit...
Norm,
Sorry to hear mate. 1.5 years ago I was the same. Had medical for HGV then 3 weeks later in cardio unit with heart at 15%. Lost all licences and took some time to get car licence back. Haven't bothered with HGV yet. After taking the pills and de-stressing, exercise and fresh air now up to...
Could it be the engine? Mis matched pistons/rods or out of balance crank? Fly wheel fitted incorrectly or distorted? Faulty cam? Really need to separate the engine/box and run engine on it own as there are so many variables.
Going back to old posts. Check the towball/hitch size. Old hitches use 2 inch, newer use 50 mm ball. They were the cause of may detachments when 50 mm ball fitted to 2 inch hitch. Especially when they were worn. Your making grand job. will look great once finished.
Are you using 0.6mm wire? It could be the wire is sticking in the tip reducing the wire feed rate. Try using a 0.8 mm tip or change to 0.8 wire and tip.
Yes you should be able to move the road wheels when jacked up with engine running or else the self straightening effect would not work and you would continue turning when driving unless you kept correcting it. The car wants to go straight (follow the road) until you put steering input in. (If...
Check inner wheel arch flange. Will be spotted and/or adhesive been used. Also joint where rear panel overlaps the sill and door B? post. Sill may be spotted or brazed. Remove that door stop as well.
