Boat anchor Marina B series????? A 1.8 B series will make more power than a 1275 A series, no substitute for capacity! The B series is just as good an engine as the A series, they are both of very similar design cast iron lumps, just the B has bigger capacity.
This is true! as well as my beloved Morris Minors, I drive a 1996 Toyota Starlet as my daily runabout. Never needs anything doing other than servicing and MOT work and the work I have done on it has been easy to accomplish. And I'm going to keep it running as long as possible as said above the...

No need to add it back as I've got a tin of Mangers paint stripper, 5L and it contains both methylene chloride and methanol and it works even better than old Nitromors used to, and the smell of solvents is a lot less with the Mangers than the Nitromors. I'm thinking they must have a superior gel...
Yawn exactly! I'm tired too of the misinformation about cellulose paint. I'm going to post some current pics of my Morris Traveller, painted in cellulose, much of it ten years ago or more and still in excellent condition and the car is kept outside for most of the time.
I think you should have cleaned up the metal to this extent before the mobile welder did his work rather than after. You might have got a better job done if he was welding onto clean sound metal.
You got what you paid for, for a mobile service that looks about right for £140. If you want a decent job done go to a restorer or body shop. They will charge a lot more but you will get a proper repair done and not just an MOT pass lash up.
Yes, I have used 2K and clear over base professionally. The reason it's not been used for 20 or 30 years on new cars (not 40!!!) is that 2K suits manufacturing and the quick turn over times required in the accident repair trade. Yes, using celly is a bit slower and more labour intensive but the...
I had a problem like this on my Clark 150 TE, turned out to be a dodgy batch of Mig wire with traces of rust on the wire. Swapping the reel for a replacement cured the problem.
