I think you're underestimating just how bad a job some qualified electricians can do, believe me they will find a way of cocking it up so the case becomes live, plastic is better as it's an insulator.
It'll be alright until someone gets a belt off it because it's now metal rather than insulating plastic.
Yes I know it should be earthed yadda yadda yadda but I've seen all sorts of wiring horrors done by qualified electricians, things wired wrong, loose connections, undersize cables, socket...
As per most film's based on books, the books are far superior. I've read all 3 multiple times but when you consider the length of each book there is no way to get all that detail into a film. It's no wonder entire sub plots are left out.
That's actually not bad for the money, it would do at a push but I should have been clearer in what I'm looking for...
Ideally I want a late unlinered M21 barrel, the head can be off a M20 or M21 it doesn't matter.
@ronan yeah I've looked at Stuart Bray & WarDepartment before, either I'm...
Heresy! The original Swedish version is far better. Watch it in the original language with the subtitles on, I actually prefer the extended versions that are effectively 2 of each of the original 6 episodes joined together.
Anyway does anyone have a barrel and head for a BSA M20/21 sat on a...
Oh I trust the car alright, that's why I wanted to find out what the noise was, so I could continue trusting it. I don't mind a noise if I know what it is and therefore know it's not anything serious.
Clutch cable rubbing on the CV joint, I had clipped it out of the way but it had come back out of the clip. It's now cable tied out of the way and the noise has stopped. A splodge of Sikaflex over the chaffed bit to keep the water out and it should be good.
I was merely urging some caution before welding a pressure vessel especially one used for storing a gas, when anything containing gas under pressure fails it's usually fairly spectacular and can be fatal. If you were going to do it properly you'd hydraulic pressure test the tank after welding to...
I know that this can be done but please remember you are dealing with a pressure vessel, are you really willing to risk your life if the tank fails while under pressure and you are in the vicinity ?
If you really want to do it then I'd make a cradle to hold the tank vertically that it sits in...
Does it accept gcode ? if it does then just edit the file to have a z lift of 10 mm as the first command and then do a dry run with no filament in it, all the noise is the X & Y steppers moving back and forth. Printing circles I find makes a particularly annoying noise.
Made me smile reading that
Another vote for Wera, I find them very comfortable in the hand especially if your using them a lot. I use the insulated ones as I work on electrics, normally with the power off but using insulated screwdrivers anyway is a good idea.
Well supposedly the way to reduce the effect of an allergy is low level exposure to acclimatise your body to it. I've suffered from Hayfever most of my life but a teaspoon of local honey every day has made it less of a problem, perhaps that's what the kitten is doing for you...
I know it's dam hard to diagnose without seeing it, I'm basically hoping for suggestions on what to check, sometimes someone will make a suggestion of something I've not thought of.
Thanks Hugh for a straight reply. I'll have a look at the intermediate bearing but I suspect it's not loose in the mount, it was hard enough to get it out of the mount when I removed the shaft to do the gearbox.
It's not that bad but how do you judge stuff like this ? I'd rather get to the...
