I had a quick look when I first got mine to see how easy it would be to replace the M10 gas connector with a Rectus 21 type coupling in the front panel (as per the UK Jasic one).
From memory ( not the most reliable ;-) ), the tube was rigid nylon and the other side of the M10 bulkhead gas...

I'm guessing it's cast aluminium and about 2mm thick. I do have 4043 rods.

Got the Sherman, XS12 connectors and the torch adaptor with the screw in and quick fit ends. Thought the XS connectors were the wrong ones initially until I realised they had the bulkhead side of the connector already attached.
