Im struggling a bit with overheating the workpiece on longe seems, I think I need a foot pedal. pulsing made it a bit better, but not enough im afraid, any ideas for pedals for a kemppi 2000acdc machine.
will this one work for my machine ...
First time tig welding yes. Been migwelding for about a year, mig welding is ok, but nothing to brag about. at first i nearly gave up mig welding, the weld looked like **** every time. but after watching this video and practicing I really improved ALOT...
Ok, so I finally got to pull the trigger on a tig welder. What I got was a kemppi mastertig 2000ac\dc with pulse panel. Previous owner had it for 4 years, but only welded 3 feet with it. ofcourse he longer saw any use for it so i picked it up for a good price.
Didn't have alot of aluminium...
Bingo.. that was what I was looking for, the pie cuts.
do you just cut at 15 degrees and flip the pipe 180 cut again and you got one piece of the puzzle. Somehow my head made me thing you needed to cut at 7.5 and flip 180.. I don't know.. just ordered the rage 2 355m TCT choping saw for...
I bought a kemppi mastertig 2000 ac\dc and have been playing a bit. I thought I should start introducing a footpedal. but what footpedal to get. they have 2 on this site but the one says DC tigs. just wanted to know if this pedal will work with my machine on both AC and DC. I figure it will, but...
I use a miller Digital elite welding helmet, but only use it on shade 8 and 9. I like the shade 8 for tig. Im just a noob, but I feel I get a better view of the weld and surroundings.
Thats the machine hotrodder. atleast it will be a good beginners machine... :P
Can always buy a high end inverter at a later point if needed. :p
thanks for your comments.
Hi
Im getting a good deal on a kemppi 2500w ac\dc machine. being watercooled is a plus but the downside is that it only has the minilog panel. I would have hoped for a pulse panel, but it doesn't have unfortunately, and a new pulse panel is like 600£ so that is out of the question for now...
How is this machine compared to Kemppi Kempomat machines, I guess you have used both matt. Might be stupid to ask a LORCH salesman about that question but I'll try..
no problem with 8mb. Just send it to <snip> both will work fine :P
Will it work on 230v 3phase or only 230v 1phase matt. Probably says so in the manual, but jus askin since it says 400v 3phase or 230v 1phase on the web. It will work either way since I have both 1phase and 3 phase 230v in my...
I can see it say's 230v 1phase and 415v 3phase, But I only have 230v 1phase and 230v 3Phase in my garage. I've heard a lot of people say that 3phase machines weld smoother than 1phase, so was hoping it could run on 230v 3phase and not just 415v, alot of phases in the text :P
I would also like...
Anyone used this mig ??
Im going to buy a mig in spring time and so far I have my eyes on this one..
Only welded a little bit with a kemppi kempomat 180 and that worked wery well for me. Welding on car's all the time so I never even changed any settings on it :P worked for me the way it was...
in norway they sell the same screen wash all year round, and we have hotter summers than you guys ever have :P I guess they save 1p pr 1000 liters buy diluting it :P
can't believe your windshield wash freezes. here in norway they come as a standard with -36 as freezing temp. and if you buy the concentrated you can mix it to hold -45.
Been mostly from -10 to -30 where I live so glad I don't have uk windshield wash :P
Ok. Welding price is not much of concern since I'm only welding on my project, not production welding. and I have all the time in the world. If someone on here has just tig for spotwelding on carpanels, do you use filler rod, or just tack without filler material?
How would a tig work for car body work. Alot of spot welding and buttwelds, is it possible to use a tig for this. ofcourse it is, but is it a pita or ok. Kemppi's microtack system must be great for that, but what about the lorch T220 has that got microtack or similar.
