at work we have an old pillar drill there are some oilers on it a bit like a grease nipple but not ,
does anyone know what they used to get oil into them and can you still get them

last week we were at lamma (agricultural machinery show ) and these lot had some small plasma's running off gennys

make sure your formers are a good fit on your tube i'm going through this with a motorbike frame
ive ended up borrowing a proper former off a horizontal machine
and making some outer rollers
make sure formers are smooth and apply loads of wd 40 to formers and tube
its all this weird...
been pricing an argon cylinder up and all 3 boc ,air products and energas all seem very similar boc wanted nearly £60 for a refill thou ,others were about £40

as for the hardening not sure shouldve maybe tested it with file or grinder
i tacked into place with about 150 chinese amps of tig and it seemed to get a pool ok but it cracked down weld a little which i thought it was down to the lack of amps for the job ...
at this point everyone must be going rough or what :)
what ive got is a cross slide and top slide off a scrap lathe which im gonna convert into a vertical slide for my lathe
but im going to have to weld the top part of the cross slide to a heavy angle iron this way i get more angle...
not done any more with the welder yet regulator has gone back
am i pleased ,well it was £125 delivered in 2 days and for what i weld at home it will be fine
have use of 3 phase mig at work for heavy stuff and still have my old stick welder buried in garage somewhere
theres some better...
thought this was all going too well :confused: got a cheap regulator just to get started whilst i sort out a bigger bottle
but it dont seal onto disposable bottles it leaks out of a small hole in base of regulator which wont screw right down onto bottle
am i missing a seal or something or...
