I have a generic Amazon supplied powdercoating kit....and need powders to test the equipment.... I really want to try some tried and tested powder to see the limitations of the kit.....Eastwood seem to be lacking in stock...Prismatic and Thermoset....look ok.... anybody used global powders of...
I built mine with all the nuts on the outside.so they didn't sieze up......I'm going with a bagless vac and seperator, but haven't used it in anger yet , i'm using crushed glass.........why not blast components before welding , no tight spots then, but i think it'll be ok assembled.....
kids bought me this for xmas,I anticipate upgrading the gun and suction hose but a great product at this price...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281383256323?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I changed the rear pads on a mates 58 plate passat, i removed the plug and using a 12v battery reversed the connection to wind the calipers back, as seen on youtube....worked well, would this work on other "modern cars"???
I have to say , part of the reason I've ridden so many miles in my first 18months is visiting places I wouldn't consider driving in a car to, France and the D-day beaches was great,Iwent to see that ship in the solent that was run aground with the luxury cars onboard, old sarum original site of...
I'm 48 and hadn't ridden for nearly 30 yrs when i took my test a year ago last oct, I bought a single cylinder Pegaso 650 rode it until feb and did a few thousand miles.
In Feb I bought an xjr1300,huge engine but there are lots of faster 650's...I've done nearly 12k miles on the xjr in a...
Adjustables I've always used Bahco, got loads between 6" and 18", the reversable jaw is suprisingly useful too...back to normal spanners I bought some flex heads combination ratchets from RS a while back which are a nice addition, sold as RS, their badged metric hex keys sets are fantastic...
The 24litre aldi compressor is a single cylinder the newer 50l is a vee twin, and should be a superior machine.....can always take it back if its too noisy etc
Best bet is to remove the plug on the reciever and connect a ball valve...try and avoid restrictive quick disconnect fittings, and attach the hose to the valve ,I used 1/2" bore hose , others have increased their receiver size by using propane cylinders , but if the pump needs to run too...
,By pass the regs, put a larger 10mm+ hose direct from the tank,it will behave very differently , I have an aldi 24l myself (loaned out) and a clarke 50l which i had joined together,if you really want to use tools frequently go as large and poweful as you can with the compressor,I ended up...
As previous posters have said ,you won't get a "good run" the plate is too thin, but if you can tack the plate using your lower settings you can weld it as well by overlapping tacks...helps with distortion as well by minimising heat input, good luck

I've still got the student training manuals for that type of festo hudraulic and pnuematic rig...from 1988,when i was at college, also have the trainers manual..  :clapping:
Totally agree with Norm..bypass the reg , I fitted a 1/2bsp valve then 1/2" hose to give the compressor a fighting chance. Yet to find a bolt my 240v clarke won't undo...the biggest complaint is the sheer size...useless in an engine bay..
Ideally you need large hoses and connectors to run an impact wrench, more info on your compressor and set up would be the best starting point,i now have a 200L 18cfm compressor but often find i reach for a 240v impact wrench (clark £50ish) rather than start the compressor up :clapping:.....and...
