CwazyWabbit, have you got one like this? I'd like to know more about them. All I know is that it was bought from a long gone company that built boats. I'd guess river cruisers as near the mid/upper Thames. Should have asked more when I went to pick it up.

No idea really, hadn't thought that far ahead..as always! My logic IS warped, it just needed sorting out as it seemed pretty unusual and shouldn't be left in the state it was. Just know that it's now too nice for me to beat on and abuse in the garage but if I don't then I can't justify keeping...
Thanks guys. I'd never seen one with front jaws like this so had to save it as I don't think I'll see another one in my lifetime. TBH it's too nice now for my use and I have too much stuff to justify keeping it...I want to but that is always how I feel about stuff I've restored/fixed etc.

Stripped, masked and Zinc sprayed. Then hand painted. Pleased with the way it turned out over all. Wish I had more steady hands for the lettering. Just happy to see something I've never come across before (rotating front jaws) back to a bit of it's former glory after looking in such a sad state...
Thanks for your reply Danny. Not really many clues on colour as it was very badly rusted and over painted. My best guess is a light blue. I just couldn't pass up on it, I'd not seen one with the 2 swivel jaws before and it looked such a sad state.
I'm guessing that there aren't many of these...
Folks, I'm after a bit of advice. Recently picked up a Fortis 3 jaw swivel engineers vice that was pretty badly neglected. Having stripped it back to bare metal I'm now looking to repaint it, but what colour? I don't know what it would have originally been as it had already been repainted at...
