No problem at all happy to help. Yes must admit I've never seen another Iron Fortis, that was one that I just spotted on ebay a year or so ago, came from a farm if I recall.
If any of the pics of other Fortis I have are of use feel free to search on here & use those (or let me know & i'll...
That's fab stuff really well done (sorry for delay in commenting been away on a course in Leeds)
You might want to add the Iron Fortis models on there perhaps ? I think Danny has a them in a catalogue maybe? I have an Iron Fortis i'll dig out some pics if you like.

All I can think is it's either they couldn't meet demand so had to get Cockers involved (is that likely?) Or Cockers had some necessary skill that Parkinson's initially lacked to manufacture their new fangled new vise...I personally think the latter is more feasible.
They look absolutely brilliant.
Must resist, must resist. I will repeat 100 times - "I do not need any more vices & I must not disappear down another vice collecting rabbit hole, that fills the garage with yet more old iron"
Cool thing that, I rather like Rededa's.
I wish I had more places to mount underslung types as that's a vice "rabbit hole" i've not really explored. They don't sit on my shelving as well as engineering type ones which is why I don't have as many...However I like them..
Yes I saw that, I'd never seen one of those before, I agree it really is interesting all this vice history stuff.
That is a big repair on it which is a shame.
Yes i keep looking at that, it's expensive and will take up space i don't have but it's just lovely..
Must resist.
I do hope it goes to someone who'll appreciate it and not "restore" it.
It certainly looks like an early Parky
All brass therefore non-sparking so i'd say it's definitely been made for a location where sparks would be an issue.
If it were near me i'd definitely buy it. You gonna get it ?
