Looking for a video camera doorbell (similar to Ring) but needs to have hardwired video output - not wireless - to go with our cctv system.
Anybody got any experience of such an item ?
Hager do exactly that.
Was able to easily upgrade my existing Hager split board to RCBO, only took a couple of hours. Worst bit was pulling the main fuse.
They can't even answer a simple question like "Is class C1/C1E (test passed before 01/01/1997) Group 1 " I asked as I had a minor stroke early last year and wanted to check that driving what will soon be a 4t motorhome, would be covered by there letter saying I can continue to drive Group 1...
DVLA and license renewals (with medical problems) has always been a nightmare. Colleague of mine who was over 65 - so yearly D4 medical for his PSV - would normally wait about 9 months for DVLA to decide he could still drive and then a week later get his next renewal application paperwork.
All...
I need to refit the marble fire surround, now the decorating is finished. It's 4 pieces, top, bottom and 2 sides. What Silicone do I need to stick this back on with ? Needed a hacksaw blade to cut through what was there before. Not a hot area, just a flame effect fire.
My road registered miniature traction engine is zero tax and MOT exempt - agricultural tractor - but I have to fill in a V112 form every year at the post office as DVLA don't put this on there data base, forget to do it and I will be fined.
This bunch are a complete waste of space. Rang them today to get advice for a family member who turns 70 in the summer and wanted to find out if they could retain there C1 (non commercial) entitlement. They pass the car requirement for sight, but would not pass the HGV/PCV requirement. DVLA web...
What genius decided to use aluminium bolts to hold the electrics onto the steering rack for a UK spec. Mondeo (2015 - 2016).
Now a major recall to fit steel bolts, but quite a few alloy bolts snap when being undone - now needs a new steering rack and at least a 6 week wait without a car - not...
I'll post a few photo's when I've got the welding finished and it's on it's wheels (on the ground), at the moment it's upside down on the welding bench with a length of tube clamped to the draw bar so it doesn't fall off :welder:
Gone for 1" tube at the moment. Finishing off the last few welding jobs, then I need to work out the coupling to the engine. So hopefully it will be ready for our next rally.
Building a small passenger trailer - for my miniature traction engine - might need to change from 1" tube to 1" solid bar, but what grade steel.
I know I can't use EN1A - as it will be welded in place - but I've seen EN8, EN24 & black round bar.
Wheels have roller bearings and it's low speed...
I had several phone calls from the GP surgery last Friday.
It all started a week earlier with a call from the GP registrar (trainee GP) I'm having to deal with - phone consult only, no face to face if they can get away with it, I've yet to have a D R E over the phone - and a lecture about...
Had a very satisfying Saturday morning, stripping cleaning out the grease and re assembling the top slide. As expected it was full of grease, but cleaned up easily and the oil passages weren't blocked so pumping oil through was easy.
Somebody previously had cross threaded a socket head set screw...
Standing charge is for delivery to property, not the no. of meters.
I've a 3 phase meter in my house - not smart, won't have one, not industrial either.
This info. came from a National Grid electrician, who was connecting up the new house in our road and he said that "All new builds are being connected up with 3 phase, due (air or ground) heat pumps and EV charging points.
Not been able to see what meter is fitted, as builder was in a foul mood...
I thought all new builds had to have smart meters fitted.
If so, what is being fitted meter wise, as I understand new builds are also having 3 phase installed as well.
