well after a cut eyelid, day after day of relentless rain and the wrong shield...i had a standard #10 in my hood that came in it. i put a clear #3 lens in. i found a shade 5 and tried it with my prescription dark glasses and still too light then i found an 8 which was a good match for my eyes...
well it's getting close. my ground blind came in yesterday. this rig needs half of the plywood painted on top and some sand spread on the wet paint on the top side. it is a bit wobbly so in case of rain i'm making it a little grainy for traction. i need to install eye bolts also to tie the blind...
awesome rig! i can't compare but have to brag on my 16 foot mini pontoon with 40 hp tohatsu outboard. most small fishing boats will pass me but it never was meant for speed. although the 40 hp is maximum allowed by the law i think it'd be ok and fast too with about 65 hp.
although i hate to, that to convert a wire welder to a stick welder is doable but really involves more work and change making than one wants to do. simply put it would require a lot of detail.
i should've included i guess this is not a finished product, i thought in my description i had made comments indicating that. not even halfway yet. stay tuned.
and last year i was spoiled hunting from a tower stand, 4 walls a roof, heater. this year i thought i'd do something different. i use a 5x8 ft. utility trailer to haul my 4 wheeler to the woods and got the idea about a month ago. instead of a tree stand i decided to buy some angle iron online. i...
i saw those and thought about them but it would be a double line i believe. i used a knife to scratch off a bright spot as to where i start and a line along the weld spot. i think my lens is a 9 or 11 and i've cleaned it good, looked for scratches or cracks. i may try no glasses today and see if...
but it's been a long time since i've welded. probably 35 years. even then i was self taught but the frequency of welding then kept me improving. since then though things have changed. equipment on my end was an airco gasoline welder and a hand full of 6011 rods, plus i was in my 30's. now it's a...
ok popcorn thx for all the help. i did dload a manual online and the gun is the only replacement part. i drove over to the store when they opened and could get nothing from them on a replacement. they had some very similar to mine but different, i didn't see how i could make one work so i just...
no popcorn i don't but i can get one in the morning. i had released the plastic nut inside and out freeing it i thought. i'm gonna google the manual right now and see if i find one.
i'm thinking tonight it's best if i start over. i've got a project going on that i've now lost 3 days of welding. i really want to thank everyone who tried to help. i've learned some stuff just inquiring about this problem. this titanium is really a good welder. i use my generator usually and it...
no, see the problem is at the feed a piece of wire has broke off inside the tube, it went in about 6-8 inches. i noticed it had a bad spot but couldn't stop in tim. as it got further in the line broke at that sot. i had to pull it back out but a piece is still inside the other end. i'm going to...
Ok popcorn thx for the help. his problem is similar to mine as both are liner problems but his was at the opposite end as mine except for a questionable blockage in my components. you instructed me to separate the brass fittings and i did and the longer piece had an obvious foreign object inside...
yes popcorn i removed it and the larger side of the brass nut there is the end piece on the end of the pistol. as it is at the time that is one end and the tube for the wire is of coarse inside the lead sleeve and doesn't seem to be a part to be replaced . the three wires in the lead with the...
