The beeswax is soft stuff and needs to be warmed enough so that it's pliable so very little force is required.
I'm not aware of such a procedure, so are you able to enlighten me more on what your suggesting?

Apols for delay in replying but yes I did get the A50! Had it for Christmas so haven’t had chance to look at it yet. Looks nice, will have to give it a try, but I’m confident I made the best choice by buying the best I could afford.
Thank you guys for your responses. The whole reason I put this request on here is because I had suspicions about the seller.
Thing is I’d love the Esab a50 but can’t stretch to the £200 plus for one and this eBay option offered some hope of getting one cheaper...but with suspicions!
