So I recently bought my first welder, a Parweld XTM201i, and I'm a little confused by the amp range. I'm almost definitely just unfamiliar with what i'm looking at, but bare with me, totally new to it.
all the websites and spec sheets from Parweld I saw when buying it put the range at 30-200a...
Given that none of the others have an accessory connector do you think it's worth the hassle to get a more commonly available torch (all euro torches are interchangeable?) and find the other accessories where I can? It looks like the most feature rich machine with the lowest bottom end, the...
My budget won't stretch to the xtm201di so really just asking for comparison of the multiprocess capabilities of the 3 machines in the OP based on their voltage range
Cheers guys some good stuff here, one thing I've noticed between the machines is that the thermal arc and bester have wider voltage ranges for the different processes
So parweld is advertised as 18-26.5v
Thermal arc dont seem to show the exact bottom end but its at least 13.5-27v
Bester...
because my last post was long and addressing specific points, it helped me narrow the parweld to a specific model, eliminate others, and bring in the thermal arc. Looking to buy this week so wanted a straight comparison of these machines on spec alone, so wanted to make a simplified post
Got some really useful info from this forum and I've narrowed my choice down to the following, all have reasonably similar specs, just wondered if anyone could offer opinions on straight comparison of these machines and their features. Useability with generators and 13a plugs is something I'm...
Thanks guys, this has settled quite a lot of questions. I'm still scanning the market but I think at present it comes down to either the Lincoln bester 190c or the parweld xtm201i.
Does anyone know if the bester is any good on generators?
Also, can the parweld run on a 13amp plug up to a point?
How do you find the duty cycle on them? Main thing putting me off a parweld right now is a low duty cycle about 20% at high amps, which is much lower than many comparable machines. What kind of duty cycle do I realistically need?
Not heard much about how good their warranty is, I know it's 3...
I apologise in advance for the long post, but I've tried to know my **** from my elbow before posting anything here.
I've been researching buying my first single phase mig or multiprocess inverter welder for a few months, I'm very much in the buy right buy once camp so I'm looking for a good...
