A nice trick with panel steel, to stop the panels twisting, and warping, is too....
Soak two bits of towel, in water the wring them out until they are damp, but still quite heavy, not running with water. Place them either side of where your welding. It will stop the panels from warping. So, you...
Well .. it was beautifully shiney an unmarked 6months ago. Now its scarred and dull. It's the expensive as all heck Berger Concrete paint. 3 coats, from a 20lt drum. Good good that stuff stinks.
But, nothing's ever going to last under daily abuse not a chance. The paint guy said there's no...
Oh, I take the point. But oddly, no. The nylon wheels make a huge difference, but I think the fact the base is heavy(er) steel, with the bottles at the bottom helps. The tigs damn heavy, and thats low too. But yeah it's just not an issue. Probably because the floors so smooth.
It's been very...
Turn the feed up a bit, drag the weld with you, from right to left (if right handed). Build a bulb, say 2mm high, and keep it that high, moving left, at very consistent even pace keep the arc at the bottom if the bulb. In the end you will have a perfect line of weld that consistent in height...
In my mig, I can use either, Co2,Prue Argon, or co2/argon mix. Its up to me, cost isnt a factor.
I've run all of them. At different times, on steel. For various reasons. What I've found is.
Co2
Co2 pure is an excellent gas for mig welding. It's cheap, and more long lasting. For Argon, or mix...

I made this to house all my welding equipment in a multi disciplinary workshop. It was made to house brand new welders, which will be purchased later on. For now, my very old equipment fits just fine.
I've found the general concept works well. It packs up nice and quick. Having good quality...

I've been modifying a mig wire feeder, to work on my tig welder. The thinking is, this unit will be universal so, usable on any tig I have in the future. If it works well enough I won't need a mig welder as such in the future. Remote wire feeders are awesome, you can really get in some tight...
