Only had it a couple of months but done all sorts of stuff with it, I'm new to MIG welding but found it really easy to get the hang of ( well enough or what I want to do). Better with the big bottle on it.
150kg !!! I jus got a strong mate round, and we just span it round and slid it on 2 x lengths of tubing ... if it had fallen over it would have probably killed us lol !!
I did think about adding more locks, but the only real access to my garage is through a beefy set of steel gates, so decided not to at the minute. Good idea though
Thanks, if you look there's a little post in the ground for the "access" door with a magnetic catch, and once I've sorted the fence I'll put one the other side.
I've been told by she who must be obeyed that replacing the fence and finishing the drive are my next jobs ! Don't know what her problem is, only wanted doing for 10 years ... no patience some people !
Wow that was harder than I thought it would be ! Hard to get the frames square and flat with the limited space I have, and so bloody heavy !! Pretty pleased with the results though.
Cheers for the compliments fella, .8 wire, the light inside is actually a cool idea ... hmmm
Oh and the Gecko is now in it's new home in Spain, soaking the sun !
Hi all
I've getting there with a set of double doors for my garage, and wondering what's going to be the best paint ? They are skinned with new 2mm steel, so need a white paint that I can brush/roller on ... any advise please
Cheers
Hi all
Apologies if this is a dumb question ! I'm ordering all the supplies up for some new steel doors for my garage that I'm about to start on, and most of the weld on bullet hinges seem to be listed as "carbon steel" ? So ... will I be ok welding these to the "mild steel" frame with standard...
Difficult question because I drop on and off stuff, and this started as a van, but after chopping the roof up twice because I couldn't get the back end right I'd probably wasted several hours ! Realistically I'd say I spent 15 hours on it total, so not a quick build !
