I have managed to find some fairly pure Cupric Chloride on EBay, (I did look prior to starting this thread, could not find any), and so i have ordered some of that. I will try regenerating that, and even if for regeneration i have to use contaminated brick acid, i thought starting with something...
Hello,
This is correct, i was going to use ferric chloride, but then discovered this cupric chloride stuff, that sounded nice because you can easily regenerate it, and just for hobbyist use this sounds good.
However, if i cannot find the necessary chemicals, i will use ferric chloride, and...
Thanks everyone for the reply's, i now have a lot of good options!
Sorry, i really should have clarified what this was for:
I am thinking of using it to make a Copper(II) Chloride based etching solution, for use etching PCBs, so it needs to relatively pure, i don't want all sorts of junk in my...
Hello,
i am in the UK, and i need some Hydrochloric/Muriatic acid, for a reasonable price, and i am struggling to find any.
Of course, the Americans just say to go to the hardware store and buy it for $5 a gallon, but that does not seem to work here?
Any suggestions much appreciated.
If there is no continuity between earth pin in plug and all metal pieces of the case, you should consider somehow attaching a wire to the case metal(bolt, rivet etc) , and then earthing this somehow. (perhaps with a separate plug with just one wire going from the welder case to the earth pin in...
as @Richiew says, perhaps it may not last forever, but you never know, might still be around in 100 years:clapping: , and i would say there is no real safety issue, as long as common sense is used.
one thing i would do, if you are not going to fit a commando plug (probably fine on regular 13...
Nice welds!
as said earlier in the thread, it may not be putting out what is states, but hey, it works nice!
if you feel like being really safe, you could stick a nice big commando plug on that thing.
as far as an extension goes, if you can get away without one then do, and if you have to use...
Yeah, i would say your friend is extremely correct!
Did you see what machine the contractor guy :drunk: was using?
Edit: First part of this post is referring to @Fremas88's earlier post with the picture, just to make that clear!
Today i Acquired;
a nice set of piston rings. :clapping:
had to take an engine to bits today from work, was told to hone the bore and replace rings (among other things) and the rings were in pretty good nick, so...
not much but i didn't acquire anything else:laughing:
Sorry i have not replied for a while.
this looks good, only problem with it is that i already have a MIG welder TIG welder and Stick welder so it would be kinda pointless having all those extra features.
