OK, maybe should look down that route then, still be quite a lot for shipping etc is my only issue, and to be honest, i am wanting to get a larger 3.4m x 125t cnc brake maybe middle of next year once orders start coming in and the business grows, so don't really want to end up with 2, thats...
With that, can you set them well enough to get repeatable or accurate bends? for instance the two bends for the forward end of the wheelhouse on one of my boat designs is 76 degrees, both of which have to be reasonably accurate so the two sides fit together. I've used CNC ones up to now at other...
Hi all,
Thanks for the replies, been working so only got back to this now.
I understand that a press is the answer, but can't afford one just now, could pick up a box and pan, old Edwards one for under 2k locally, so was hoping it may work. The only comparison I have ever tried was at my old...
Hi All,
I've posted a similar thread to this before, but have been at this for a while now, just don't have access to a box and pan to test my theory and am looking at buying one 2nd hand, mainly hoping someone could test this for me with a bit of scrap before going for a purchase.
I started...
Hi Tom,
Thanks for the reply,
I was really hoping for more amps, which isn't easy with my supply situation.
When you say the Oxford and Tecarc models aren't great, can they be great so to speak on aluminium or just passable if dialed in correctly.? I don't want to sacrifice potential weld...
Thanks for the reply
Yes they are almost identical, but for the fact you can control the settings of the machine on the spool holder of the TecArc machine, and with that it's a bit more expensive.
Morning All,
Looking for some constructive feedback on the above 3 machines, i have posted a few times before and as some of you may know i build Aluminium boats in the main, but also do a lot of other things from Digger bucket repairs, general fabrication etc.
I have a synergic pulse welder...
Thanks for all that, actually a transformer i can get and a vfd for not too much though a friend. My goal is more making a 3 phase workshop supply, willing to spend a bit to make it work, just not the 35k Drives Direct are quoting.
So lets say i want 50hp max, and get a 100hp vfd, 50hp...
I have a 480v split phase supply, so dont need the voltage doubling part, actually need to reduce the voltage, so in my case would an isolating transformer, into a 40kw vfd, then out from there to a delta to star transformer work? Reason for the delta to star transformer would be to grab a...
Hi all
I am looking at three phase conversion options for my workshop I have looked at rotary converters
and I have also looked at static and digital conversion options what I'm wondering is does anyone have a digital converter from the only manufacturer that makes them. Drives Direct is the...
The only Dewalt TCT blade i can find is this one

The center hole is only 9.5mm though, so wont fit...
What make of TCT blades are you using? the ones ive tried which fit on a normal 4.5" grinder, the teeth end up stripping off. Cant find any decent makes of them, just on Ebay and Amazon etc. Would be interested to know which ones you are using.
